AZIPL SAGE Award Nominations

Published by Patrick on

AZIPL is announcing that we are now accepting nominations for the SAGE (Spirited Activists Greening the Earth) Award.  This award recognizes both individuals and faith communities for their exemplary activism in partnership with AZIPL to reduce the causes of climate change.  Last year’s awardees were the Franciscan Renewal Center and Valley Unitarian Universalist Congregation and IPL founder and President, Sally Bingham, and Gary Paul Nabhan, the Director of the University of Arizona Center for Regional Food Studies.

AZIPL will accept nominations in both categories until February 15.  Please email your submittal to either Doug Bland at doug.bland@azipl.org or Patrick Grady at patrickgrady70@gmail.com.  Your nomination should include information on how the nominee has exhibited such climate change activism in partnership with AZIPL over the past several years, including activity in 2016.

Awards will be announced at the March 23 annual AZIPL fundraising event at Temple Chai, entitled “Eco-Activism:  Loving Earth in a Dangerous Time”.

There is significant environmental and climate change work going on across Arizona. We look forward to hearing about your eco-activists!
