Hearing for Navajo Generating Station…

Published by J. P. Smith on

Help Decide the Future of Navajo Generating Station In February, owners of Navajo Generating Station, located in northeast Arizona, voted to close the power plant. Peabody Coal, which operates the nearby Kayenta Mine that supplies coal for the plant, is trying to find a way to keep the power plant open, including by providing misleading and inaccurate information, as highlighted in a recent analysis. The U.S. Department of the Interior will host four listening sessions for people to provide input on the future of the power plant. Please participate in one of these meetings!

Phoenix Monday, May 15 1-4 p.m. Heard Museum, Monte Vista Room 2301 N. Central Ave., Phoenix.
