Environmental Films at the Casa

The Franciscan Renewal Center will be showing two environmental films in the next two months.  The movies will be shown in the San Damiano Auditorium.

• First, on March 21, The Sierra Club is sponsoring the movie Before the Flood.  This movie, presented by National Geographic, features Leonardo DiCaprio on a journey as a United Nations Messenger of Peace, traveling to five continents and the Arctic to witness climate change first hand.  The movie begins at 6:30pm.  There is no charge and no registration is necessary.
• Second, on April 13, the Care for Creation team will show A Plastic Ocean as part of the Creation Connection Movie Night series.  This movie is a feature-length adventure documentary that brings to light the consequences of our global disposable lifestyle.  An international team of adventurers, researchers, and ocean ambassadors go on a mission around the globe to uncover the shocking truth about what is truly lurking beneath the surface of our seemingly pristine oceans.  The result will astound you!  The movie begins at 6:00pm.  The $10 fee includes a light dinner.  Pre-registration is required.  To register, visit thecasa.org or call 480-948-7460.
