In Hebrew, “Tikun Olam” means “to heal the world.” And that’s exactly what Ben Lesser is trying to do.
He speaks to people in prison and teenagers growing up in gang-ridden neighborhoods; and he tells them his story. He teaches them the horrors of the Holocaust, of Auschwitz, of losing parents, two brothers and a sister in the massacre. And he shows them how far he has come: how he’s achieved success in America and built a loving family who brings him great joy. He shows them how by choosing love, he overcame the worst of circumstances. And he shows them, that they, too, have a choice.
Students (7th – 12th grade) are invited to a special presentation at 2:00 pm. The Adult presentation begins at 5:00 pm.
